VEHICLE DESCRIPTION
I've owned this 911 Turbo for the last 7 years and every moment has been a pleasure.
I had intended on keeping it longer, but I am raising funds for a business opportunity and it does not make sense to keep the car.
It's kept at my business premises and is started regularly.
It's a good, genuine and collectable classic that has been used and enjoyed to the fullest, but not without any flaws. I have detailed that in the relevant section as honestly as possible.
Clean history with MOT until March 2025.
Original UK RHD model.
Exterior/Interior
- Considering the age, the bodywork and paintwork presents well.
- There has been no major restoration work carried out but the front end of the car appears to have had some paintwork prior to my ownership.
- No significant dents or creases on the bodywork.
- The wheels are original and are in fair/good condition.
- The interior presents well but has had some restorative work.
- Dashboard was replaced with a genuine Porsche unit.
- The seats have been replaced with those of the same specification.
- The car doesn't have any carpets installed but a brand new set comes included with the car.
- Interior electronics (buttons, dials, gauges & windows) all working correctly.
Mechanical
- The car drives very well with no outstanding mechanical issues.
- The engine and gearbox are both original but both have been rebuilt.
- I meticulously rebuilt the engine myself 12-18 months ago as I own a mechanical engineering business and I wanted it to be perfect for my own future long-term use.
- The 4-speed G40 manual gearbox was rebuilt by an external specialist.
- The is no smoking, oil leaks or overheating. Its starts on the key and idles smoothly.
- Braking performance is very good.
- It was blowing fuses a lot so I replaced relay module and has been fine ever since.
- There are no modifications except for an ignition amplifier to advance the timing when it is plugged in via USB.
- The underside is very tidy with no areas of any significant corrosion or leaks.
Paperwork
Imperfections/Faults
- The car is not concours and would likely benefit from a full respray to be perfect. It's not a garage queen, it has some Patina but the car has been used and enjoyed to the fullest.
- Most panels have some marks, paint chips or scratches.
- The underside of the rubber rear wing is coming away slightly where it attaches to the engine cover, but it is not excessively loose.
- Some marks on the wheels.
- The rubber seal of the the front compartment has split on the lower left corner as you look at the car face on.
- The fuse box was replaced and I haven't got round to wiring the headlights correctly, but they do work with the temporary wiring solution I have done.
- Heater hose at the back of the front compartment has disconnected and would need replacing.
- Seats have no rips or tears, but the usual bolster wear is present and slight cracking in some parts of the leather.
- Original sun visors present but in need of restoring.
- Small bit of rust on the aerial surround where it goes in to the body.
